Mein Buch "Lebenszeichen" ist Fotobuch des Jahres beim "Photobook of the Year Award 2023" der Photo España

Ende Juni erreichte mich eine unglaublich erfreuliche Nachricht aus Madrid. Mein Buch "Lebenszeichen" / "The Signs of Life" wurde auf der Photo España tatsächlich zum Fotobuch des Jahres 2023 in der Kategorie "Best Self-Published Photography Book" gekürt. Nachdem es zunächst im Mai mit 13 anderen Büchern in der Shortlist gelandet ist, wurde es nun zum Sieger der Kategorie prämiert. Der Preis "Photobook of the Year Award" / "Premio al Mejor Libro de Fotografía del Año" wird jährlich im Rahmen des Festivals Photo España verliehen. In drei Kategorien (Best National, Best International, Best Self-Published Photography Book) werden drei Sieger prämiert. Die Jury bestand aus Nuria Enguita, der Direktorin des Valencianischen Instituts für Moderne Kunst, Marcos López, einem Fotobuch-Sammler, und César Martínez-Useros, dem Direktor des Verlags La Fábrica.

Die Gewinnerbücher werden zusammen mit den anderen Büchern der Shortlist in der Ausstellung "Die besten Fotobücher des Jahres" im Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa in Madrid ausgestellt.

My book "Lebenszeichen" has been awarded the Photobook of the Year at the "Photobook of the Year Award 2023" by Photo España.

End of June brought an incredibly delightful news from Madrid. My book "Lebenszeichen" / "The Signs of Life" was actually named the Photobook of the Year 2023 in the "Best Self-Published Photography Book" category at Photo España. After initially landing on the shortlist in May with 13 other books, it has now been awarded as the winner of its category. The "Photobook of the Year Award" / "Premio al Mejor Libro de Fotografía del Año" is presented annually during the Photo España festival. Three winners are recognized in three categories (Best National, Best International, Best Self-Published Photography Book). The jury consisted of Nuria Enguita, the director of the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, Marcos López, a photobook collector, and César Martínez-Useros, the director of La Fábrica publishing house.

The winning books, along with the other books from the shortlist, will be showcased in the exhibition "The Best Photobooks of the Year" at Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa.
